Charlotte's 10 eclectic inspirations

Charlotte's 10 eclectic inspirations

As much seduced by the old-fashioned charm of an empire console as by the cachet of a design desk, my inspirations are quite eclectic. I like to mix styles while claiming a certain classicism borrowed from originality. I let you discover my 10 inspirations in pictures.

One season: summer

CDV And more particularly a summer spent in the Mediterranean, in the shade of maritime pines. All senses are awakened thanks to the sound of the waves, the scent of pine trees, the warmth of the sun, the intensity of the light and the softness of the fine sand. It is an inexhaustible source of decorative inspiration!

A decorative bias: the workshop window

Laurence Garrison - ladecorruptible.fr Certainly, we have seen a lot, but I never get tired of it. The workshop glass makes it possible to separate a room from another or from a corridor while letting in light. The black color of the uprights only increases its decorative potential.

A city: Rome

Rome Eternal city and museum city, Rome, and more generally Italy, inspires me more than any other place. From antiquity to the Baroque style, passing through 18th century classicism, very different styles rub shoulders. Much more than inspiring Rome is bewitching!

A film: Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola

Coppola - Marie Antoinette Let's be clear, this is a masterpiece. The costumes are breathtaking, as is the photo and the decor. I love the refinement of the 18th century so wonderfully reproduced here. If you have not seen it hurry to buy it and get the soundtrack in stride.

One color: black

Sarah Lavoine Nothing stronger, in my opinion, than a black painted room in which the potential of each object or each painting is increased tenfold. We often think it sinister when on the contrary, what character, what chic, what pep!

A brand: Flamingo

Flamant I have been following this brand and its collections for over 15 years. We find in their furniture and their staging all the spirit of the great families of the north. Even if I now also fall for Farrow & Ball paintings, I have long used their nuances with such a poetic title.

A boutique: Zara Home

Zara Home I can stay there for hours! Especially for their incredible dishes, often very colorful and patterned. We enter it out of curiosity and always leave with something. It is also the ideal store for last minute gifts.

An interior designer: Sarah Lavoine

Sarah Lavoine As I like the black in the decoration, it is obvious that the achievements of Sarah Lavoine inspire me. His personality is such that one recognizes one of his projects at first glance. A piece of advice to remember when making an interior like Sarah Lavoine: dare the color!

Storage: the trunk

CDV Small or large, the chests can be installed in any room of the house and allow to store a lot of things. They are now in my living room but they have also been installed in the entrance, to store books and papers, in the bathroom for ironing clothes and in the children's room as a toy chest.
